This is actually well done,
it has some new elements that the old cannibal movies did not have,
it also has some classic screenwriter / director moves.
The crash reminded me of the plane scene from the movie ‘Alive’ (1993), Green Inferno has some upgrades added to it.
IMO it plays a bit better than ‘Aftershock’
House of Cards wit K.Spacey seemed a bit to cartoon-ish for me, the weakest Netflix series I got to watch this year (haven’t seen all the shows though).
The (Netflix) show that everybody has been waiting for this year – Arrested development – fulfilled the expectations, the idea of jumping back and forth on a limited timeline is quite good, however you could feel something missing in the last 3 episodes (especially if you had watched the whole 4th season as a 15-bill ).
The are not many women-in-prison-genre TV shows, Orange is the new Black made it to the top 3 list of this kind. Created By Jenji Kohan, who was responsible also for Weeds; sometimes you can have the impression of getting a Weeds -like vibe while watching the show (which is not bad at all).
If you don’t wanna miss the best man to werewolf transformation in a TV show you definitely must check Hemlock Grove. The pace of the show grows a bit slowly – but it is the charm of it.
The gory and a bit trashy Aftershock is a middle budget entertaining movie, the scenes had been shot with a small scale (like in S.Fuller’s The big Red One for instance), what helped to avoid to many CGI.
The Impossible on the other hand is a serious film that recreates the events from 2004 when a tsunami hit Thailand. Large scale disaster and disaster aftermath shots are really impressive.
Bardzo rzadko triquel utrzymuje poziom poprzednich częsci danej trylogii, a jeszcze rzadziej przebija swoją jakością poprzednie części.
W przypadko REC3, mamy do czynienia ze powiewiem świeżości ze strony serii, (według mnie) mało obiecującej po drugiej częsci. Jednak udało się zrobić, coś czego nikt nie oczekiwał. Film jest teraz bardziej kolorowy, kręcony już nie cały czas z ręki (co pradwa część filmu pozostaje wierna poprzednikom, jeżeli chodzi o ujęcia kręcone za pomocą “urządzeń przenośnych”). Dodano także kilka humorystycznych i kiczowatych scen, co naprawdę rzuca nowe światło na cały sposób przedstawienia historii Tak na prawde nie miałem tyle zabawy oglądając poprzednie dwie części razem wzięte. Świeży, zabawny, kiczowaty, obfitujący w graficzne, krwawe przedstawienia walk i roczłonkowywania “zarażonych” – tego właśnie brakowało mi w REC i REC2. Ciekawe co dostaniemy w REC4 ?
Trzeci Hostel w wykonaniu S.Spiegela, też nie zawodzi. Pomysł oczywiście nie jest nowy i nie zostaje prawie w żaden sposób odświeżony. Film da się obejrzeć od początku do końca, a jeśli jesteśmy wielbicielami B-klasowych slasherów to na pewno się nie rozczarujemy. The Hangover w wersji slasher.
