Patrick flies again

The new Patrick is not bad, but there is a lot to wish for.

He’s in a coma… …yet he can use the computer, hack phones and hijack cars.

Don’t know if it is the effect of the Cellphone towers, but Patrick’s telekinetic power has much wider range than the ones of 1978 Patrick.

All the new elements to the Patrick story are a quite disappointing.

Kudos to Jackson Gallagher for not blinking at all.

I hoped for much more, this unfortunately is  only a “blow job for (the first) Patrick” film.

One shark, 4 Jaws

Hulk Hogan’s daughter, Quinn Mallory’s brother, Carmen Electra and a bunch of well-breasted women are trying to survive an encounter with an unusual shark.

Do not expect Great CGI, sophisticated dialogs and memorable characters. Not as many pairs of naked breasts as expected (less than 10).

If instead of the crappy CGI real machinery would have been used for all the scenes …

Mary Death

Now I want to see the 2011 short film. The full length feature is like the “Doomsday” but a bit funnier. Watching all this splatter is really entertaining, you will definitely adore Mary Death, especially when everything else will seem to not make sense at all.

Detention… …of the Dead

Another zombie-ploitation flick. Will there ever come a moment when the genre will get overexploited?

The movie itself was not that bad, a zombie variation of the “Detention” with few classic-intestines eating scenes, not groundbreaking for the genre though.

However it’s still more interesting than the 4th season of The Walking Dead.

get tromatised by Astron-6

Father’s day is a great Astron-6/Troma Entertainment  cooperation result, it felt like watching a good old Troma movie but with a breath of fresh air. Really enjoyable, great gags, unpredictable plot twists and even more.

Manborg  is a different kind of fun than Father’s day,  if you don’t get annoyed by crappy special effects, you will be pleased with what Manborg has to give you.

Zombie hunter is a different story, it has nice a nice poster and a very promising trailer, but don’t expect too much. Sometimes the trailer is better than the movie itself.  (Yes, Danny Trejo has a  cameo as Father Jesus.)

Scream Queens on VHS

Rewind This!  a great documentary on VHS tapes and all involved. Watch it and Rewind it! I had a lot of fun watching it, it was a real feel-good  film for me.

Screaming in High Heels a must see for every exploitation and horror fan.

Maniac

I had already mentioned the movie here, before I watched it. All my expectations have been fulfilled. A re-watch worth the movie is. Great tribute to the original film, and the whole  psycho-killer-exploitation genre. Forget Fro*do, Frank is from now on the man who’s face will pop-up in your memory, after you have heard Elijah’s name.
