Tag [Riaru onigokko] (2015) Eureka!Entertainment

quite Bloody, and quite surreal,

probably requires a re-watch or 2 to get it all.

After 1 screening I can say, I don’t regret it, and received a lot of visual pleasure. The transitions between characters have been managed quite good.

All this on an Eureka!Video Blu-ray, need more extras!

Re:born (2016) Eureka!Entertainment

The fight sequences in this movie are great, however after watching about 1 hour of the film (or less) you get used to them and the movie does not surprise anymore.

Still worth a watch especially if you’re a fan of  “Versus” and similar flicks like that.

All this on a Eureka!video Blu-ray, with few  trailers and a ‘welcome’ from a part of the cast. Would be nice to have more extras on this one.

Cure (1997) / Foreboding (2017)

After having seen Foreboding at the BerlinFF, a natural consequence was to watch the Cure.

The Cure is hypnotic, raw and thrilling, a 20 year old movie that still has it (full disclosure it was my first viewing ). The last scene is something most of the modern movies (still) lack.

Foreboding has a similar touch, but somehow it’s different than the Cure. The darkness the suspense, and the mystery can be felt in both of them, they just make you wanna watch them till the very end.

2 well crafted films worth watching.

Mr. Kurosawa , I salute you.

Ghost Stands Alone

Border 1 and Border 2 were great, I had some doubts about border 3, Ghost in the Shell Arise: Border 4 – Ghost Stands Alone is really impressive.

I will have to binge-watch all 4 of them to get the overall impression.

Watch it in Japanese!

Kyûtî Hanî

The most live action versions of anime or manga usually don’t meet the expectations of the audience, but this cute movie is really enjoyable.

Imagine the Powerpuff Girls metting Takashi Miike,  kawaiiiiiiiiiiiiii (or are The Powerpuff Girls a ripoff ?).
